WHY FOOD INSECURITY ?

☆ Why food insecure :-

–› In rural areas, hanalless and small farmers, traditional artisians, like blacksmith, washerman, Small-Self employed workers are can under the category of food insecure.

–› In urban areas, person who imployed in ill paid occupation, causal labours are food insecure, these labour came under seasonal worker and have low wages.

–› Person who is not able to fulfil there daily requirement or people the became below poverty line are also food insecure.

–› People belonging there to some schedule caste (SC) and OBC are also come under the head of food insecure.

☆ Famine and starvation :-

→ Famine is characterstic by wide spread death due to starvation and  epidemics caused by forced used of impure of water or decaying food and loss of body resistance due to weaking from starvation.

→No famine has occured in Inalia as since Independence.

→Children under the age of five year, large proportion of pregnanent and nursing mother are also came under the catergory of food insecure. In, India large no of food insecure like, Bihar, Orissa, Bengal, M.P, Bombay, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand.
